New Trails to Shred Downhill Fast Flow

Dozens of one-way, so-called flow trails allowing bikers to ride downhill at breakneck speeds have been built across the U.S. in recent years, with more in the works. Many of these trails are built on Western public lands managed by the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management. They are specially designed with jumps and berms to allow riders to flow unimpeded down the mountain without stopping, making the downhill-riding experience akin to skiing or sledding.

Idaho Mountain Bike Licence Plate

Support your local trails and show your appreciation for the sport of mountain biking and other outdoor activities.  Outdoor related license plates were approved by the Idaho Legislature in 2010 and are now available through the Idaho Department of Motor Vehicles.  The mountain bike plates raise money for mountain bike trails. The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation plans to distribute the money through a grant program that has yet to be designed.

Winter in Squamish is very wet, flooded, and usually has a snow line that sticks around for quite a while. This year we were lucky enough to have a dry cold winter.
